National Treasury publishes instructions regarding overdue payments to suppliers

National Treasury has published instructions regarding payments due to suppliers and creditors exceeding 30 days after submission of a valid invoice.  Accounting Officers and Accounting Authorities of departments, constitutional intuitions and public entities identified in the PFMA (Schedule 2 & 3) are now required to follow specific procedures to ensure that payment exceeding 30 days outstanding, are dealt with.  A Call Centre within the National Treasury has been established to assist those suppliers and creditors that have payments outstanding for more than 30 days with such affected Organs of State.
