Mfebe is the Chief Executive Officer of the South African
Forum of Civil Engineering Contractors, a position he has
held since January 2013. He has accumulated a wealth of
management expertise during his career spanning the mining,
construction and engineering industries, broadcasting,
politics and running his own enterprise. He has addressed
various international conferences, locally and abroad, on
political and economic issues. Within 10 months of his
appointment as CEO, he transformed the then 74-year industry
body into an inclusive organisation in terms of management
and decision-making structures.
Webster has held
various senior positions, amongst others, as member of parliament; MEC; Executive Director and
Non-Executive Director at Basil Read and TWP respectively.
In August 2013, he was appointed as a board member of the
Construction SETA and currently chairs its Core Business
Committee. In July 2014, he received the prestigious KAELO
AWARD for being one of the thought leaders in business in
South Africa from the Black Business Executive Circle
(BBEC). In August 2017, he won a prestigious Country and
SADC Award in the Building and Construction Sector and is
now a finalist for the Continental CEO Global Award, which
will be announced by CEO Global towards the end of 2017.
