A career path reflects what is required to progress from job to job throughout a career, usually within a specific company. The specific requirements would include a combination of qualification, experience and competency. There is a definite difference between between a career path and a learning path.
The learning path usually forms the basis of a career path. A learning path assist the individual to get obtain certain learning/qualifications and master certain competencies. The focus is to develop the individual and improve their competencies and knowledge base.
